St. Croix Health Care, Inc., is a non-profit organization with offices in Deerfield Beach, Florida in the United States and Cap Haitien, Haiti. The primary purpose of the organization is to develop health care initiatives and provide disease prevention and health maintenance services and resources that will benefit disadvantaged residents in poverty-stricken regions of the island.

St. Croix Health Care, Inc. is the vision of its president and founder, Herard LaFrance. Mr. LaFrance has been coordinating and implementing medical relief efforts for the people of Haiti and its neighbor, Dominican Republic, for over 10 years. The only public hospital in the region, Justinien University Hospital, does not have adequate health care, medical, or human resources to meet the varied health care and medical needs of community members who are grossly underserved. Residents in the target area cannot afford private medical care and this forces them to look to organizations, such as St. Croix, to meet their medical needs.
The concern that Mr. LaFrance has for the health and welfare of every person in the area prompted him to take action. He and his team opened St. Croix Health Care in May, 2016 in the city of Cap Haitien, Haiti’s second largest city. The clinic is located at Charrier, Village Creole # 6 Cap-Haitien, Haiti, and serves 70-80 people daily, including people of all ages, from babies to the elderly, who do not have access to health care services and other essential medical resources. The St. Croix medical team assists and educates the community on disease management and prevention strategies, provides nutrition and health counseling, and assistance with immunization and prenatal care, as well as needed medical supplies.
